Dr. Larson volunteers in many church and other community activities. She is involved in the Madison Regional Health Diabetes Advisory Committee, Kiwanis Club and South Dakota Headstart Advisory Committee.
Dr. Larson and her husband, Chad (the Business Manager at the Eyecare Center), lead mission trips to Guatemala at least once a year and have a non-profit organization called Leah’s Kids that supports orphans, widows, and the poor in Guatemala (leahskids.org). She performs free eye exams and gives glasses donated by people in the Madison community to people who live in a garbage dump, and also kids at the Casa Angelina Orphanage. Dr. Larson and Chad have 3 daughters. When she is not working or volunteering, she likes spending time outdoors, spending time with her family, and dabbling in photography.
