Dr. Brooke is a native of the Pacific Northwest, graduating with distinction from Pacific University College of Optometry in 1983. He practiced in Washington State for 10 years before joining one of his classmates, the late Dr. Monty Friedow, in Madison in 1993. Dr. Brooke enjoys working with patients in all age groups as well as the daily challenges presented in helping people cope with a wide variety of ocular health and vision problems. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, and the South Dakota Optometric Society, serving as President for 2004-05. His community service activities include the Dakota State University Foundation, Madison Regional Health Diabetes Advisory Committee, ICAP Health Advisory Board, Madison Area Marketing Committee and the Bethel Lutheran Home Capital Campaign Committee. He and his wife Artyce have two adult children, one grandson, and one granddaughter. In his spare time he enjoys racquet sports, golf and spending time with family and friends.
